Anger Management Part 1: Understanding Anger

Anger Management Fall 2026

The topic for this skills-based group is Anger Management Part 1: Understanding your Anger.

This 10-week facilitated group helps individuals understand and manage their anger in healthy ways. Using the SAMHSA Anger Management curriculum (developed by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, a U.S. government agency focused on behavioral health) along with curriculum from Growth Central, participants explore the origins of their anger, learn the difference between anger and aggression, and examine self-talk, thinking errors, and healthy expressions of anger. Each session combines education, reflection, and practical strategies to help participants respond to challenging situations more effectively.

There is a fee for this group. Please contact the office for more information. This class qualifies for agency- or court-ordered requirements, but only meets half of the requirement.
